Frederick Jacobi (1891-1952) was an American composer, conductor, and educator active in the early twentieth century. He was assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera (1913-1917), and taught composition at the Juilliard School of Music (1936-1950). The bulk of the collection contains private recordings made for the composer, of his own works.
